Have a look at what we have been up to this year.

The Turtles have been practising their face sketching.  Have a look at their pictures and see if you can work out which of the famous faces in the gallery they have been drawing.

The Turtles and Cheetah classes have been enjoying reading together on a Friday afternoon.   Here are some of the children working hard reading their book and enjoying a good story.

The Turtles have been planting trees in the school grounds with the Cheetahs.  They had a great time and are looking forward to seeing their trees and shrubs grow.

Here are the Turtles at the end of a great week doing their Bikeability training.  The children all enjoyed their lessons and were complimented on their fantastic behaviour.  Well done, Turtles!

Here are the Turtles glass painting their London landmarks, inspired by the 'Pop Art' artist Leichenstien.

The Sea Dragons have been continuing their novel study work on the Michael Morpurgo book 'The Wreck of the Zanzibar'. This time, they have written some raps imagining they are one of the characters in the book.  Click here to see more!

Design Technology - Shelter Building - The Final Results!

Well, we had varying levels of success with our shelter building, but we all had great fun making them. On the whole, teamwork and perseverance were the superpowers on display from all groups, as well as the ability to cope in a crisis and thinking on our feet! Below you can see the finished results!

Design Technology - Shelter Building (January 2017)

The Sea Dragons and Penguins have been given the challenge to research, design and build a shelter. Fairly straightforward you might think, but Mrs Cook has said that the frame has to be built with newspaper. After using the new Learnpads to research shelters from around the world, we had a go at strengthening pieces of newspaper with only small pieces of masking tape allowed, before creating our final designs. Below are some of our attempts at strengthening the newspaper. Come back soon to see our finished shelters (if they have survived the rigorous testing process!)

Christmas party fun!

This term, the Sea Dragons have been studying the book 'The Journey to Jo'burg'.As part of this unit of work, the Sea Dragons have been doing some freeze frames to help investigate the characters' thoughts and feelings or reasons for their actions.  There were some truly Oscar winning performances!  (Mrs Davies was seen having to grab her tissues at one point!)
